Pulled over to take pics of the deer sculpture on the way home from Aspen. Didn't see the roadkill till after I got out of the car ...
gross, but reminds me of the poem "A Barred Owl" - about how words are a defense. To me, the pic suggests the same of art, that it aspires to beauty-without-danger. The sculpture is probably having second thoughts about crossing the road.
This picture is calling my name to be the first one i comment on. seriously disturbing. i love it. (though i have different ideas on what the sculpture is probably thinking to itself...)
